Terrie had to get an Abaya so that she had the proper female attire in the mosque and this illustrated an interesting point about Arab society. ... and from the marina (where we stayed in July coincidentally!) it's only about a 45 minute commute to where Pete is working, as the site is on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi city. One more to go! Survived the 7 hour flight although not without a bit of drama! I had a bit of a funny turn at 37000 feet! Flying really doesn't agree with me! The flight went quite quickly though. ... around an hour for our luggage to appear. A hotel car was waiting for us outside and we made our way thru Nairobi traffic to get to the Ole Sereni hotel for one night. The journey only took about 30 mins as the hotel is not too far from the airport and we did not have to go right into town.
