As we were coming into land the pilot gave us some 'good news' we had made up 30 minutes on the flight! Great news if staying in Abu Dhabi, not so great if a 3.5 hour connection is now 4 hours still look on the bright side lots of time to clear security and find the gate. Queueing for security in a culture that have no concept of queueing was lots of fun, aided greatly by how efficiently the queue system was set up. My queue was being split into two security ...

Our time was very limited to get everything ...

Of course no flesh allowed here so sitting here sweating it up! Sat next to a nice English couple of the plane, who enjoyed mixing alcohol and sleeping tablets just like myself. Slept poorly despite this, mainly because the plane was freezing! Promise my next post will be more upbeat. Hurry up connecting flight to Madrid. I want to ...

... the outboard seats are cocooned away from the aisle and are inherently more private. My seat is a window seat, but well away from the window on the aisle. The seat in front of me is right beside the window and the offset clearly allows more people in the cabin. Pretty clever design. The aisle based seats are pretty good, but wouldn't be so much fun if you were near a toilet or galley. ...
