After breakfast into town for some shopping. Lunch was a hamburger, fries and a milkshake (it was very good). You read it correctly and there are pictures as proof.

The drive back to Jakarta was more like a Formula One racetrack. I thought the drive up set new standards, that was a cake walk. Again I wish I had videotaped, well I thought I had, ...

... little further on a man on the street confirms this. We keep walking. No hotel. I ask again. A really nice looking trustworthy looking guy. Who leads us astray. He swapped a few words and a smirk with a junkie looking guy on a street corner. After a few hundred meters (and apparently later than Liza did) I can feel this going wrong. The majority of the cats were Persian-like; fluffy and not my style. I like the smooth and sleek Tabby cats. One caught my eye that was black, but unfortunately it had a flat face that looked like it'd walked into the wall and cost 1 million rupiah. Instead, Kyle and I went for a brown striped ...

So despite the fact that the Rainy Season isn't supposed to start untl October...it came early. We've been getting some huge downpours, and when it rains here it fully commits. The rain will only last between 15-30min, but during that time it's like continous gallon buckets. The streets become rivers and with all the hills, there's mini-rapids along the sides of the streets.

Definitely glad that I brought 2 pairs of rubber bootsboots!

      Well, Kyle ...
