      On the road home

Picked up the car at our friends, the Meadors. Hitting the road for Atlanta. Wow, it's been a whirlwind expedition! Feels like we've been gone for months. Can't believe how much we've seen and all the places that we've been in the last 26 days. I will certainly view so many of the places we've visited with a different set of eyes and opinions ...

Arriving home wasn't weird for me, and I didn't think it would be either. I never had a reverse culture shock. I ...

Mecca said she could run a mile so I signed her up for the Be Healthy Georgia Day last Saturday at the state capitol. Boy was I impressed with all the kids who participated. They were grouped by age with the 11-12 year olds starting first. All the kids took off full speed, smiles flashing as they rounded the first turn. By the time I caught up with M at the half way point, the smiles had ...

... Not to mention the Friday game with Braves away at Philadelphia Phillies [best minds clearly weren't working on that nickname!] where Brian McCann (obviously Scottish :-) hit a Grand Slam !!

We understand that you folks in the Old Country are having a little bit of rain, so I thought I would share that we had a fantastic storm last Tuesday night which, when you are on the 8th floor of an
apartment block, was pretty spectacular. AND there's ...
