In 2012 I went to UNITED ARAB EMIRATES and it was awesome and great because of all great places malls and desert safari was awesome i rode atv and dune buggy and we hired a land cruiser and took a ride in desert dubai mall was really great and big once i got lost in that and wild wadi ride were scary.
during summer vications i went to abu dhabi and stayed at hilton hotel for some days. The culture of the United Arab Emirates has a diverse, cosmopolitan and multicultural society. Major holidays in Dubai include Eid ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, and National Day (2 December), which marks the formation of the United Arab Emirates. …
... in the world. had Turkish tea and smoothies in the Emirates Grand Palace....couldn't afford the 24caret gold flakes but did make use of their free wifi! Saw the eitihad towers (5 of them) and had delicious dinner ( calamari, steak and curried shrimp) in Abu Dhabi's revolving ...

We even had the privilege of visiting the most expensive hotel in the world, the Emirates Palace. This seven, yes seven, star hotel was constructed for the small fortune of $3 billion and boasts 1,002 Swarovski crystal chandeliers and a gold leaf dome larger than the one atop St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Now all this ...

It was time to head to Dubai and the plan was to catch the bus 1 hour away. Taking a taxi to the central bus stop and probably looking a little out of place with out backpacks, a friendly security guard guided us to the counter where an even friendlier ticket officer told us what tickets we required and showed us to the outside terminal. Then another extremely friendly security guard walked us too the seat outside in the 40c heat and told ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hilton Abu Dhabi Hotel
We arrived prior to the official checking in time due to Etihad flights and so we had to wait until around midday before our two rooms were allocated. Once allocated, both couples were more than happy with the room size, though more than two in the room would be cramped (leave the kids at home). All of the staff we had contact with were very helpful throughout the seven days, with the guys on the concierge being really useful with their knowledge of the area. The rooms were serviced twice daily with towels being changed each time if desired, bottled water and ice was also available, free of charge, on both of these daily occaisions. The many restaurants provided good/excellent meals, though the Terraza breakfast area was a little small for a full hotel population at breakfast time. Hemmingways, the Jazz bar and the night club are an excellent source of free entertainment and surprisingly, though all three venues are interlinked, one does not outdo the other with the volume, neither can they be heard in the rooms.
So we chose the Hilton as the Rotana was having it's pool repaired and we thought the Hilton looked and read OK. How wrong.
Me & my daughter stayed at this hotel in July & had a wonderful time. We wanted hot weather & a lazy beach holiday for a week & thats exactly what we got plus more. We picked this cos we got such a good deal when we booked it, 5 nights paid, 2 free. The flights with Gulfair were fantastic, the crew can't do enough for you & the 6+ hours flying time goes really quick. The minute we got to the hotel the staff grabbed our baggage & showed us where we could sit & help ourselves to free lemon drinks. We arrived at around 10am & our room wasn't supposed to be ready till 2pm but the staff did everything they could & had it ready for us very early. We had lovely food in several of the nice restaurants but the jazz bar is the best! The restaurant manager, Suresh Shetty, worked very hard to mingle with guests & let us know which were the best nights to eat in all the different restaurants cos they have various offers some nights. I was slightly concerned about the amount of attention we would get as woman on our own & apart from my daughter (21yrs old & not always dressing as I would like) getting the odd man trying to chat her up (until I got in the way!) we had no trouble. Fab rooms, fab beach club, fab food, fab holiday!
Have just returned from four nights at the Abu Dhabi Hilton.Having stayed in other hotels on UAE and abu dhabi I found the Hilton very average . We arrived to find no doorman to help with luggage there was a noticable lack of staff.the rooms were clean but very dated .Breakfast was plentyfull if you got there eirly if not it was gutted.as for the beach it was poor old beach loungers and a great shortage of umberellars I had to leave the beach for fear of being burnt as non could be found and the ones they had were old a tatty to find staff on the beach was hard .as for the walk from hotel to beach it was a drag.I would not go back to the Hilton again .One thing it did in my opinion have that was fantastic was the Vascos Resturant on the beach side the food was great staff delightfull and resonable. The Hilton does not deservive a five star status in my oponion three would be more in keeping.
Having just returned we found this hotel, whilst yes 20 years old and not the latest large and glass fronted high-rise that these hotel chains seem to want to promote. The Hilton is first class in every way. On arrival the staff were very helpful and always had smiles on their faces. The food in all the restaurants was outstanding and the service first class. The beach club whilst admitedly across the road, but with easy access via a walk-way, is by far the best in Abu Dhabi. Lots of sunbeds available, pools were excellent, clean and staffed by lifeguards. The staff were always dashing around helping with sunbeds and umbrellas and only too happy to help whenever asked. Watersports were first class. Would recommend taking the 2 hour boat trip around Abu Dhabi. Food is cheap in the hotel and we ate well for as little as £16 per head per day including drinks. It is well worth taking the half board option if you can. We did not but found ourselves eating in the hotel most nights as there are at least 6-7 different restaurants. Bed linen was changed every 2 days and the whole place was immacutately clean. We have stayed in hotels all over the world including Las Vegas and Dubai (The Royal Mirage 6*) and found the Hilton Abu Dhabi to be outstanding. Suggest do not book transfers from airport as expensive and taxis are very cheap. Would definitely return to this hotel.
On arrival at the Hilton we were not quite sure if we had arrived at a shopping mall - there were banners promoting some event that almost covered the front of the building and were at least 1 month out of date. I am sure that 20 years ago this hotel was spectacular, but unfortunately it is old and tired and in need of a total refurb. The staff on our arrival were pleasant and efficient and our room was clean and adequate. We had paid extra for the sea view, unfortunately they do not tell you that between you and the sea is a busy road, 2 lanes in each direction! Breakfast was plentiful with chef cooking eggs to your liking. After walking under the subway to the beach club, you are issued with beach towels - unfortunately there was not always someone around to help with sun lounger cushions so you just had to sort yourself out. The food at the beach bar was very reasonably priced and good quality, unfortunately you are sat at plastic tables and chairs which are desparately in need of replacement. The best thing about the Hilton is the Jazz bar, the resident band are absolutely fantastic as is the atmosphere. Our first choice hotel was the Rotana which at a similar price was fully booked- after visiting and eating there twice (out of a 5 day trip) you could see why! Its modern, plush and what I would expect from a 5* United Emirates Hotel.
Can't wait to return!!
I stayed here for a few nights in march and it was instantly one of the best hotels i'd ever been in, very friendly staff and so many facilities, there must be a least 5 or 6 different places to eat, the jazz bar, with a live band every night, must be one of the cities must popular venues as its constantly crowded, topped off with amazing room with all the features you'd expect from a hilton hotel. Amazing place, I was on business and cant wait to return with my girlfriend for our own holiday...the pool even has a swim-up bar!!
Had a wonderful stay at the Hilton. Can't think of anything negative to say!
The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, everyone was very friendly.
It was my birthday while we were there and they delivered a wonderful cake to our room and birthday card(s)!
Tried Hemmingways, Bice and the Terrace and had wonderful food at them all.
Perhaps the only slight problem was slow service at the Hiltonia club.
Would definitely go there again.
A pleasure to stay in
when we first arrived they had allocated us a twin single bed room, but we asked if this could be changed and it was not a problem. the service is excellent, facilities are really good, a relaxing break outside the hustle of Abu Dhabi. we stayed feb 05 for 5 nights, wish it had been longer.
the staff were great, they have great entertainment nightly. the hilton has its own beach and is close to the marina mall and a short taxi ride from the city centre.
