    ... ruins of a 1st-century "thermal bath" and a 15th century abbey. It was pretty cool--some stained glass and lots of sculptures.

    I was exhausted by this point. I walked everywhere today rather than using the Metro because I wanted to see as much of the city as possible. I made my way back to the train station stopping at a little cafe for a beer before boarding a train back to Metz.

    ... them with small shops, ice cream, and great gift items...lots of restaurants and fun stuff happening on the Quai. We found a small shop selling sandwiches that we purchased to eat outside on the Quai. I think we both got a little sunburned on our noses...but after this past winter, neither one of us wanted to be inside. Then we stood in a really long line...to get ice cream...seriously, €3 for a half scoop of ice cream in a cup...and no, it did not rock our world...ice ...

The japanese bridge, the wisteria, the covered garden paths and the water lilies are right where he painted them.
