... favourite was the High line. Nothing to do with being high on weed or anything. It is a disused railway line that used to be used in the old days for transporting goods in and out of the city. Due to a decline in manufacturing in the city it then stopped being used and they decided to turn it into a 'national park' for people to use. It has grass!! Trees, art, benches, quietness, cafes. Lovely views of the streets below lined with trees and yellow taxis. We ...

Had another late start today, at first I couldn't convince ash to wake up and then by the time I did by killer headache was rearing its head. But with some nurofen and water that seemed under control, and off we went! Caught the C train to 14th st and then switched to the L train and arrived in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A quick walk had us at Smorgasburg, soooo much tasty food. Kind of like est street markets in Brisbane but not set up as well, more just market stalls under tents but ...

... some pics and discover there is an Apple Store on the upper level of the main hall- they have really iconic locations, we also found one under the Louvre in Paris. Anyway, we admire the building for a while and read about how they were going to demolish the facade and parts of the terminal to modernize it in 1968 but fortunately, there was some opposition and the strongest was from Jacqueline Kennedy who fought to retain the building for future generations. Luckily she ...
