A small island, but still US soil!
Another new place to visit! The island of Guam is US territory in the Pacific Ocean. This important island is a key military location and many of our ships and airplanes that patrol the Pacific Ocean and Asia are based here.
Guam
Having reaching Guam, the final destination of United Airlines Island Hopper, it's time to explore the island. The island is 30 miles long and approximately 4-12 miles wide, this is much larger than the islands we had passed by on the island hopper. Guam Layover
Got up at 8:58 a.m. at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa. I was in bed for almost 11 hours but didn't feel as rested as I’d hoped after the long journey here from Washington via Houston and Tokyo. I had woken up a few hours earlier and never feel back into deep sleep.

TravelPod Member ReviewsHilton Guam Resort Tumon
We were unexpectedly stuck in Guam for a 24 hour layover. No complains. Our flight attendant recommended Hilton. The hotel is superb! The staff was amazing and greeted us with smiles. We checked-in right away even though we didn't have any reservations.
The room was super clean. I love that it has a balcony overlooking the ocean and the hotel's resort. Just outside the hotel, there were lots of beach activities. The water was warm and clear. You can stay outside all day, the weather was just right.
