... WOW!! Suzy and I were
relieved we didn't have to hike back down those steps through the
canyon. We had worked so hard hiking through the canyon we decided to go
to the local Ben and Jerry's for a little reward. Ha ha! It was
          a great days outing.

The next day we drove to another finger lake, Cayuga
Lake. Along the drive we found another great state park. We ...

Before having a late dinner I rode to the city pier. I had remembered seeing some interesting photos online of the boathouses at the city pier. It was great to have an opportunity to photograph some of them as the sun was starting to set in it it's golden color to the view.

I returned to the motel and decided to have dinner at the Lafayette motel restaurant. It seemed ...

I stopped in Geneva to look for a gas station. Geneva is a very nice college type town with a wonderfully revitalized downtown area, but there did not appear to be an abundance of gas stations. I was really quite surprised, given the fact I was on one of the major routes going through town. I had to drive through a good part of town before I eve saw a gas station, and it wasn't even a major ...

... uneventful highway driving but it was strange to see the trees in Vermont beginning to turn color. With the early evenings arriving, I guess leaf peeping won't be far away. 420 miles later, we've arrived in West Bloomfield, NY not far from Rochester.
