As we strolled back towards the car the sounds of a merry-go-round drew us to investigate. It was in an open sided pavilion I guess you'd call it. Memories of show grounds and fairs invoked happy smiles of our long ago youth!

... with good company rather than a motel. Jo, his wife and adorable kid settled us in before we all went out to the local Mexican restaurant for dinner. He told us how he had set up a community of around 20 people who all live together in the same neighbourhood and share the houses. They renovate them all together and try to live a fully sustainable lifestyle. Sounded like a pretty happy lifestyle! ...
... to watch stuff here and there and finally ended up in a neat little artsy town. We strolled the streets and checked out the shops until we knew it was time for us to head for home.
This was the first long day that the girls were left alone in Klyed and we were pretty concerned about what we would find. Dasher does have a knack for punishing us. To our delight (and surprise) they were just fine and so was everything in the coach!

We went to the town of Charlotte, along the Genesee River.
Gail and Jerry took us to Cheeburger (yes, that is spelled correctly) for the most incredible burgers and shakes. The list of options for each of these items is half a page long!
We saw where my dad went to school and where he was ...
... We also drove to the airport they fly in and out of (Gail and Jerry are both private pilots) and got to see their plane.
We had a beautiful sunset again tonight. We realized that we haven't seen very many along this trip. We have seen a lot of evening rain or been in such deep forests that they haven't been visible. We certainly enjoyed this one!
