This hotel is clean, the employees are helpful, and the location is great. It is close to the Black Hills, the Badlands, and Mt. Rushmore. Choose the bed and breakfast room rate. Their breakfast is great!

Paul picked up the last part of the drive. We made it into Rapid City around 4:00 PM. I had a little surprise for the kids. I booked Marriott with a water park attached. They didn't know until we pulled up and they could see the slides hooking in and out of the building. Happy kids as you can imagine. ...

... several days) and park our big white van in the parking garage. We snap lots of pictures and make our way to the ampitheatre. We are early and there is plenty of seating, as we near the 9PM start the place is packed. The program starts with a short lecture on freedom and then they show a 20 minute video that tells about the history of Mount Rushmore and each of the 4 Presidents. After the video the lights begin to illuminate the monument. We ...

It didn't offer a lot of stuff like the other parks but had some great walking paths, a view of the Crazy Horse Memorial, and a great spot to watch a sunset. I don't know what was different this time, but we ...

This was a very interesting venue with murals around it made of everything corn -- kernels, cobs, shucks etc. The list of artists who have performed there include Duke Ellington, Lawrence Welk Orchestra, Jack Benny, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Three Dog Night, ...

... wind. At some points it was all I could do to keep the camper from blowing off the road. But I kept our speed down and managed OK. As we approached the Black Hills the rain slackened and then blue sky broke out! Just in time for us to get a super tour of the Mt. Rushmore monument. The monument is really striking and looks so different from a variety of angles.
