    It was hard to leave the La Posada, and if home hadn't been on the horizon, we probably would have lingered longer to look around a bit more. This might have been Mary Colter’s crowning glory. So glad someone saved it for all of us.

    We had breakfast in the "Turquoise Room," just as we had dinner the night before. They have done a wonderful job of restoring this hotel.

It's big enough that you can walk through it, has little slides that kids can whizz down, and a little loft up a ladder that kids can climb up to (and some adults...yes, me).     Dinner is at Bourbon Cafe where I had a disgusting lobster bisque, two sips and I had to give it up. I ended up getting a rice and beans soup which tasted similar to what we had in Belize so I was happier.

    We also ate at the famous Cattleman's Steakhouse near the national stockyards and had the presidential t-bone...the one that Bush likes to eat when in Oklahoma City.
