What we liked most about Venice: no cars! What we liked least about Venice: too many tourists (not quite as bad as Rome, but still millions of tourists each year and a population of only 60,000). The city itself really is the biggest thing to see. We spent the afternoon wandering around the streets and just taking in the buildings, canals, and …

Venice, Italy

On our last morning on board the Seabourn Quest, I woke up and looked outside to see that the sun was just rising and we were approaching Venice. The last time we sailed into Venice on a cruise ship in 2009, we had slept through it, so Scott and I wanted to make sure we didn't miss the opportunity to experience this time. We headed out to our …

It was the quintessential Italian local restaurant with a huge pizza oven and bar. We had to wait for a table but it seemed worth it. While ...

The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The mini bar system is silly as you have to go to reception to buy a drink, plus have the bar in the lobby open it for you as the rooms do not have a bottle opener. Very annoying.
