    Hiya hope you are all well Our drive from Nashville was really good, no roadworks for a change!! Arrived in Memphis just cross the road from the home of the king, not Kenny but Elvis!! We can see his house from our hotel Went downtown to Beale street where there are lots of bars playing live music it is fab!! Pics attached!! Off to Gracelands tomorrow, can't wait!! By the way our hotel is really tacky with Elvis stuff but we love it :) Love you all loads ...

    ... me, the museuem was informative and challening, but the opportunity to stand on the balcony where someone died simply for believeing in something was a pretty moving experience.....inspiring and emotional.

    And a massive shift from the morning which had been spent looking around the Gibson Guitar Factory....being a huge lover of music but not a perfomer, I knew I'd appreciate it but not necessarily 'get it' in the way I know some of my muso friends ...

    ... shot, on the balcony outside room 306. Everything in the room remains as it is and is under restoration now, The museum is connected through a tunnel and includes the boarding house where the assassin shot MLK from the windown across the road. HArd to believe that the black americans did not get the vote until 1974.

    Back to the hotel and then out to Beale Street once we had cocktails with the others, in the bar. ...

    ... as somewhere we'd rush back to to be honest. The Gibson tour was one of life's must do's for a guitar head like me and it was great. Graceland was a stunning and somewhat poignant reminder of Elvis that is definitely worth the visit alone, even for two people that aren't even in to his music like us. Beale though looked a bit downtrodden and really only comes alive at night. We've just come back from there after eating at the Pig bbq place and it's a fun street of neon, music, ...

While the operation took longer than expected, the combination of ricin and other chemicals did the trick, sealing up the chip.
