Well, we finally arrived on the coast of Oregon, directly west of Eugene. It is two weeks today that we left San Clemente. Although we didn't have a planned schedule, I thought we might be here sooner. Problem is we really enjoyed everywhere we stayed, so much so we didn't want to leave.

I liked my ...

... car park at 7am and back onto highway 97 heading south for Cali. Crossed into California pretty soon after departure, quickly past border inspection for fruit etc. We past a lot more farming and forestry and headed into the hills, a single snow tipped mountain lied in the middle. Mt Shasta sat way above anything else. Further south we found a gorgeous blue lake/dam covered with houseboats, you could see the red soil from receded water ...

... I was in farm heaven and I thank the farmer profusely for feeding us every day. Later in the day, I was passed by a bike and it woke me from a lull. I followed the other rider for awhile. The country side was nice, but I was trying to get to Bend, OR so the faster pace worked well. I decided to pull off at a vista point to take pictures and the other rider turned in also. We exchanged greetings and destinations and after I took some pictures, he recommended I checkout ...
