2nd Last Day
Today is the 2nd last day in Frankfurt before we have to leave back to Perth. Today we took a 4hour drive from Frankfurt to Berlin to see one of the world's most famous gates, The Brandenburg Gates.
It is the main symbol for Germany and is a impressive statue and is way bigger than you first expect it to be. There is a park …
Main Tower and Zeil Shopping Street
It's been a long 5 days in Frankfurt, Germany traveling to and from all the sights and a hassle trying to understand what the GPS says, every time we turn it off it changes back to German! Today we are going to go and see the Main tower and go shopping at The Zeil. It is the most famous road in Frankfurt and Germany's most trafficked shopping …
A Normal Day In Germany
Yet another day went by without noticing how fast the time went by. I didnt really notice how the day went by so fast when barely did anything. Today all I really did was swim the hotel pool and have something to eat with my sisters.
It all started with just asking around what we wanted to do but then that got a little boring. So we went …
Frankfurt Zoological Garden
Aftertaking the train to see The Catherdral Of Cologne and The Palm Garden my mum decided to rent us a car with a GPS in it. Which she thought would take it easy for us to and have a look around and get the Frankfurt Zoological Garden. Indtead of it being easiter we ended up yet again guessing half the things that the GPS was trying to tell us....< …

Historical Traveler Reviews Hilton Frankfurt
Rough start...
Stayed at the Hilton in Sept. and it was beautiful! We had just arrived from Toronto and the airline had lost our luggage. The staff was friendly and understanding to our needs. The rooms were clean & spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous. Wouldn't you know it, the Hilton had the best buffet breakfast spread I've seen in a long time. It was a very short walk to all the tourist areas. Highly recommeded!
Good as ever
Third stay at the Hilton in Frankfurt this year and still happy with friendliness of the staff, services and rooms (excellent equipped and maintained). Only the price-performance-ratio is a little bit below average since I believe that the already above average pricing should allow free fitness-center access (not only to the pool) and lower prices for food. Great location for the business-traveller (all major banks etc. in a walking distance) and tourists (opera, shopping-area); easy to reach with public transportation.
Excellent service at the Frankfurt Hilton
This is a great hotel in a city with few great hotels. Located within walking distance of the major shopping and financial districts as well as lots of interesting restaurants. There is even a seven screen multiplex cinema showing films in their original languages just down the street. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. The views on the park side of the hotel are recommended - like being in the countryside. The California restaurant has an interesting menu, is open throughout the day and also features excellent service, and a nice alternative to the hearty and basic fare that is more traditionally German. Only complaint is the lack of any English language TV apart from CNN.
An excellent stay for visiting the christmas market
If you are going to do some christmas shopping or visit the christmas market in Frankfurt, the Hilton is the place to stay. My husband and I just recently returned from a long weekend there (10-12/12/04) and found the hotel to be within walking distance to all of the shops and market. The Hilton itself was as we expected: polite and friendly staff, good breakfast buffet and clean, comfortable rooms. We definitely plan on going back and will staying there again.
Very stylish
I booked at the hotel based on the reviews here. Lived up to expectations. Seems very new, staff was very helpful. The hotel has wireless internet access at reasonable rates ($5 for 30 minutes).
Best of the Best
I travel a lot for work, both in the US and in Europe. This hotel is absolutely wonderful. Without exception, the staff is the most helpful and professional I have ever encountered. On the rare occasion that I had a problem, the response was immediate and received full attention until resolved.
By far the best I've ever stayed at.
Nice Hotel... About what you would expect...
Spent a weekend at the Hilton in Frankfurt at the end of February, 2004. It is exactly what you would expect from a cookie cutter 5 star business hotel. OK, so it may lack atmosphere but hey, this is Frankfurt... the whole city has about as much culture as a rock from Mars. If I had to be critical, there is some room for improvement...
the Hotel got my reservation mixed up with the other person I was travelling with (who made the booking). and the room had a couple of dirty glasses and a half-eaten apple in the otherwise spotless room.
Ask for a corner room and a high floor for nice views and wrap-around windows. This is a much nicer hotel than the Arabella Sheraton and I would definitely stay here again.
Simply great
I stayed at the Hilton Frankfurt for a conference. Perfect rooms, excellent front desk service. Big wonderful pool. Recommend any time again.
Not your standard hilton
This is probably Hilton's best operation in Germany and surely among the best and the newest in the whole Hilton family.
Dramatic glass-enclosed atrium lobby brings in much light and adds to the parkside setting of the hotel. Health club is world class with a huge indoor swimming pool.
Located within easy walking distance to main shopping and the stock exchange. However, take a cab to get to the trade fair grounds or the the main railway station (each about 10 minutes by car). Add another 10 minutes and you are right at the airport.
If you want to stay with a major international chain, this hotel based on its location and its facilities is a good choice for business travellers (incl. of a complete and professional business center) but also very good for families visiting Frankfurt, since the Marriott, the Intercontinental, the Meridien are either to remote (Marriott - across the fair grounds) or in not so polished areas (railway station).
A close competitor to the Hilton is the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel offering a similar good location (right at the shopping area) with a more traditional elegance.
