    ... surrounded by so many normal people easily getting around normally by bike - and without fear of being hit by a car - is happy-making for me.

    Perhaps if I lived in any of those cities i would develop my own stress of having too many people on bikes around me, too many cargo bikes going too slowly in front of me, having no place to park my bike because there are just too many bikes, etc. But for the next three weeks, those are non-problems to ...

    Another long day. That's what happens when you get to one place late. You sleep in, hit the road late and don't get into your next hotel until late. Repeat. But we had fun!

    ... wir am Morgen danach ziemlich schlau und haben all unsere Wärmewäsche und Windstopper angezogen. Und als wir auf den Motorrädern sassen, mussten wir feststellen, dass es gar nicht mehr so kalt war. Also, alles Marsch zurück und umziehen. Und auf dem Weg nach Eugene kamen wir mit nur den Töffkleidern sehr gut zurecht. Es war plötzlich wieder 28 Grad warm!

    ... and set us up for breakfast in the morning. She also has two dogs so we also could bring Nash in with us. The dogs got along all right. Grace and Katie are her girls, and Grace was much more up for playing with Nash, where Katie was more scared.     ... These two stores are family-owned and unbelievably large, even bigger than the national chains! Our final bit of excitement (ha, ha) was getting our laundry done for only $1 per load.
