A nice hotel overall
Have been staying here on and off for four years while in town on business. This used to be a Radisson and recently became a Hilton. I stayed there for a week in late Februrary '05.
New beds and linens. The new mattresses are above normal in comfort and are a big improvement over what they used to have. Nice pillows and high thread count sheets. Very comfortable.
Suite-style rooms - seperated bedroom from living room area. TV in each, including a VCR (although who watches tapes anymore?), microwave and mini-bar.
Happy Hour - free drinks at the bar each evening for hotel guests.
Nice outdoor pool and whirlpool, good service, breakfast buffet included in room price, available high speed internet in rooms, nice restaurants on complex.
Attractive complex including restaurants, hotel, shops and bank.
Breakfast buffet since the Hilton takeover seems just a little less 'robust' than it used to be under Radisson. The quality of the food seems to have suffered and little things were different, like no fresh fruit salad (only canned) was offered. The fresh juice tasted watered down. I used to have my choice of teas but now they only offered one kind. Sometimes it's the little things that get your attention.
High speed internet- $10 per day (alot of other hotels include access in the room price)
Limited closet space- the armoires in the rooms are the only closet space offered.
Restaurants- a little pricey but hey, you're in Boca!
Attitude- maybe it was just my perception but it seems that the staff's attitude was off, alittle grumpy, perhaps due to the Hilton takeover?
Don't get this wrong, I like this hotel and so does my company and I'm sure we'll be staying here again. I'd also consider staying here while on personal business as well. Overall a very good value.
Breakfast is on the House!
Family of 4 staying Thanksgiving week. The Internet said rooms were sold out. Wanted to stay here due to good reviews on Tripadvisor. I called the hotel directly and explained we lost a family member & were coming for the funeral and they made room for us. Not sure how they did it if they were "sold out" which they didn't seem to be but anyways..THanks!.. Also learned to call the Hotel directly and not rely on the Internet.
Let me just say this.. This is by far, the best Free Breakfast we have ever had in a hotel stay! It was top notch and as a family of 4 it was excellent; it saved us a lot of money was was a tremendous help. That alone is a reason to stay at this hotel.
Overall, the stay was good. Great location, close to all you'd need 4 resturants on the property.. Pool is small but adequate (was not heated)
The king size bed my wife and I slept in was horrible.. Now recovering from reoccurring bad lower back due to their bed.. Was fine when I arrived.. As an example.. stayed at Las Vegas Marriott and their bed was soo good, we called them to find out the mfg and bought that bed! But I digress.. Traveling with my 2 children 12 and 15, we look for suites so we can all be together and to tri to cut down on the expense of two rooms. The pull out couch is a twin and so we rented a cot for the other one. The room is nice but SMALL. 4 people it is TIGHT. To some that is OK to others it is not.. JUST AN FYI. I would recommend this hotel, just sharing the things I found out to help you make your decision.
great price,clean rooms,nice staff,central location...worth the trip...
Best Hotel Ever
This place really knows how to do it right. My husband and I have stayed there numerous times and have never, ever had any kind of a problem. The staff is courteous and the property is pleasant and user friendly. If you're looking for swank, stay somewhere else, but if you just want a place to stay that's decent, this place is definitely it. The entire property is very clean. The pool area is nice. We have never had a long wait for an elevator. Chef Louis makes the best omelette I've ever had, and breakfast is complimentary. The only possible thing I could gripe about is that it's an extra $10 a day for wireless internet in your room, which is a bit exorbitant. I will stay there again, and again.
Definite thumbs up
I stayed at this hotel the beginning of August and found it to be wonderful. Being a family of four with 2 older children, we found this hotel to be a perfect choice. The suite provided ample space for us and at night it was nice having the bedroom separate from the sitting area. There were two TV's. One in the sitting area and one in the bedroom which is definitely a plus.
The people working at this hotel are exceptionally nice. The chef was WONDERFUL! Breakfast was great. We really enjoyed the coctails in the evening and the barmaids were so friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Best Hotel in Boca Raton!
The Radisson Suite Hotel in Boca Raton is the best hotel to stay at in Boca. The Hotel is located within 5 min of Town Center Mall and right next to a host of nice restaurants including Petes and Jasmine. All the rooms at the Radisson are suites. Each room has a separate living and sleeping area. My wife and I stayed in the bedroom area while our kids stayed on the full sized sofa bed. There is a closed door separating the two rooms.
We all enjoyed a complimentary full breakfast in the morning. The rooms were very quiet and clean. The hotel is located in the back section of area, (not directly on the main road).
This hotel is one of the best in the area.
Very good for business and pleasure
I come to the Boca Raton area about two or three time a year on business and have stayed at the Radisson Suites Hotel at least 20 times starting way back in 1995. This alone will tell you that I really like this place.
About three years ago the rooms were completely refurbished and the new furniture and paint is very nice indeed. All rooms are small suites - small meaning that the actual room is about the same size as a normal hotel room, but they divided this into a bedroom that is basically not larger than the king size bed inside it, and a small living room with workdesk, sofa, chair. Each room has its own TV.
For about $10 more you can get a lake view instead of the parking lot view, I would recommend you use this money for something else as the lake is just a small artificial pond with a fountain and the parking lot is actually very green, so the views are both comparable.
The free breakfast is incredible, cooked to order and your choice of eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc. But also a variety of cereal, fruits and breads are available.
What impressed me most was that the restaurant maitre'd, the cook, the concierge, and several other employees have been there at least since my first visit in 1995, meaning that this must be a good place to work and this feeling is really passed on to the customers - staff is always very friendy.
Because of the location this hotel is primarily a business hotel, but I have also stayed there with my family on several occasions and it has been very nice. There are always families with children there, not just business travellers.
The beach is a bit far (15 minutes drive) but the fantastic "Town Center" mall with its exclusive department stores is just 3 minutes down the road (east), and 5 minutes to the west you will find Route 441 with a long string of less expensive stores (Toys'r'us, BestBuy, Borders, etc) and even outlet stores. So for shopping, the hotel is in a perfect location!
True, there is no restaurant on site for lunch and dinner (only breakfast) but there are 5 restaurants just outside the hotel on the other side of the lake - - 1 minute walk across a bridge - and if you eat there, you can charge it to your room!
All in all, great value!
Stay at this hotel june9-june12 and we enjoyed our stay very much, the room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, the staff were very helpful at all times, the breakfast was unbeatable and free! and another great touch was the free drinks in the bar every night 5.30pm-7.30pm.
We are certain to stay there again in the near future, great value for money.
Radisson Suites is great deal!
Stayed at Radisson Suites 4/23/04 thru 04/26/04.
Luckily had a group rate for a wedding; so price was VERY reasonable. Several family members rented rooms as well. This is a clean, modern hotel.
Having a suite is nice so if one wants to stay up & watch TV while the other sleeps, it's convenient. We were also able to have a mini after -wedding get together in my sister-inlaw's suite, the following morning. Breakfast is FREE with hot,cooked- to order omlets, eggs any style, pancakes. hash browns, bacon and sausage. etc. Wide array of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, fresh coffee - you get a whole carafe, bagels, muffins. toast and juices. It's buffet style and the short order chef was very pleasant and FAST. Yes you can make a tray and bring it up to dine in your room if you like. This would cost at least $10 min. at another hotel. If you a family of four, this a BIG savings, when considering hotel cost. NO MEAL OTHER THAN BREAKFAST IS SERVED, NOR CAN YOU PURCHASE LUNCH OR DINNER. You must go elsewhere for that. Cocktail hour from 5;30 to 730PM is also FREE!! Liquor is not bottom shelf either. the vodka was Smirnoff, which is decent. Chex mix is served as munchies.
You can sit at the bar or have waitress service at a table. Service was quick & friendly; not slow & begrudging because its free. For those who enjoy their after swim cocktails this is another BIG savings!! HOWEVER this is the ONLY time the bar is open. There is a lounge/ nightclub next door, but its EXPENSIVE!
You can make a quick walk to the corner gas station/ mini-mart. if needed. for quick snackfood, beer & soda or a pre-wrapped sandwich if you're absolutely starving.
The swimming pool, though not overly large, was clean, well-maintained and never crowded. There were plenty of lounge chairs, chairs and tables and lots of fresh towels. There was also a hot tub, clean, never crowded. You'll find a soda machine here and restrooms as well.
The rooms, were not very big, but it is a suite after all, with a door that separates the bedroom from the living room. Good, if you have another guest sleeping on the couch in the LR; your sleeping quarters are each separate and private. The room decor color schemes wre strangely done in autumn colors: gold, olive green and burnt orange. not the bright sunny colors you'd expect in Florida. Rather disappointing, but hardly tragic. Each of the five rooms we rented had a small veranda with a chair & small table. This was nice, plus we were able to dry our swimsuits, by laying them on the chair in the warm sun.
The help was always pleasant and couteous and the Mgr. permitted us to stay in one of our rooms for two hours past checkout, since we had an evening flight. The fellow at the information desk during the day was not very knowlegeable, nor was he able to offer suggestions regarding local events i.e. flea market/craft/ farners market . nearby; seafod festival, film festival nearby- he didn't even mention these. Get the City link newspaper (free, but not available at the hotel and check this out for yourelf. Try the gas station for this paper.
All in all this was a great value with the freebies mentioned. You will have to go out for lunch and dinner. There's a Burger King nearby, but you nust have a car to get to it and just about everything else.. Aside from the gas stion, there's nothing else you can walk to, other than the pricey.
Very Happy with our Stay. My husband travels to Boca often for business and typically stays at the Radisson Bridge Resort. As we were traveling with our 9 month old, we wanted a suite and decided to try the Radisson Suites. The hotel was wonderful - Very accommodating with our early arrival. The hotel was clean and the decor was very nice. The hotel was renovated within the last 2 years. The "made to order" breakfast was wonderful and truly cooked to order - french toast, pancakes, omelettes, etc. We never did visit the bar, but the hotel offered a two hour coctail reception that was always crowded. The pool area was nice and the watered was heated to a very comfortable temperature. The hotel is located in a "corporate/retail" park around a lake. It is a 10 minute drive to the beach. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it as long as you are not looking for a "beachfront" hotel.
