Historical Traveler Reviews Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Suites

      A great place to stay

      from

I stayed with my family here. Clean rooms, big pillows, it's a very nice place. I would recommend it. Looking around the internet I found a nice deal on our room.

      Great service all the way!

      from

The management of the hotel was fantastic! We stayed here this past weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. There was one minor problem with the housekeeping that we noticed not long after settling in. My husband called the front deskand a wonderful lady made apologies and sent someone up to take care of the problem. She called back a few minutes later to check on things and within thirty minutes she had personally brought us coupons for a free breakfast for all four people in our party. She was great--I just wish we had caught her name so we could acknowledge her. We had dinner that evening at the onsite restaurant. The food was really good. There had been a small mix up with my husband's meal, but again, our waitress quickly said the correct meal would be expedited and she would not charge us for it! This type of service used to be common place, but in today's world it is a rarity. The suite was nice and spacious with a comfy bed and nice bay window in the bedroom. The halls and entry were very neat and tidy. It was a great stay.

      Great rate-very impressed

      from

We stayed here for a night on our way down to Florida in October,2004 and had booked a family suite for $69 on the internet. The hotel was very clean and the suite perfect for a family of five. The family suite has both a fold down murphy bed and a sleeper sofa which made it easy to sleep three kids comfortably. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable too. The pool area looked nice although after a 13 hour drive we did not have the energy to go swimming. The restaurant was fine for the evening so we had the luxury of having a quick bite to eat without having to venture out and into the car again. The hotel is located in such a way that it is pretty easy to connect back to interstate 75 as well. We really enjoyed our stay here and on our way back north one week later we cancelled the other hotel that we had booked and stayed here again. The rate was higher, owing to the late booking, but we felt it was worth it. The family suite that we stayed in on the return trip was slightly more worn, but still very clean and quite comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommadating. We will likely make more return trips to this hotel on future trips south.

Great Value for a 4 Star Property

      from

I am a weekend Atlanta visitor and like most hotels, this one cuts its rates.

But for $ 69 its top notch. Its a converted Marriot Suites so you get the 2 room layout with fridge, 2 TV's and seperate shower and tub. The hotel is very comfortable and quiet; not too many party animals seem to make it their home for the weekend as in other Atlanta properties. The dining room for is very good for a hotel. I got a free continental bfast perhaps because I am an Honors member. Great location and free , convenient parking. They have a PC in business center so u can check the web for free.

Even the weekday AAA rate is cheaper than the generic Courtyard next door.

      Great Rooms, Excellent Restaurant

      from

My family and I stayed at this property on November 19th of 2004 for one night. The property is in a location that is not in the hustle and bustle of Perimeter Center (hence the quiet) but close (they offer a shuttle service anywhere within a three mile radius). The room/suites are really nice. They are clean and the property is very quiet. The beds are heavenly beds by any stretch but they are clean. We decided not to go to one of the local restaurants that we ususally frequent when visiting Atlanta but to eat at the hotel restaurant instead; boy were we impressed. The presentation of the food was like something you would get at Emril's and the portions were great but even better the food had the absolute best taste ever!! We normally stay at the Embassy Suites because of the reception and breakfast but we stayed here and used our Hilton Honors points for a comp. night. We will be sure to stay here again. Oh yeah, they give you hot chocolate chip cookies when you check in...they are okay but the true gem in this hotel is the staff, the clean rooms and a restaurant that is wonderful.

Excellent place to stay. Lots of room for the price

      from

My wife and I stayed here a while back for 2 nights. We definately enjoyed it.

The property is all suites. We booked a whirlpool suite for about $89/night. The suite featured a large sitting room/office area with a mini fridge and sink, pull out sofa, chairs, and a desk. A separate bedroom with a king bed is off to the side (with french doors that can close it off), and then a large bathroom and dressing area. Both the sitting room and the bedroom had TVs.

The bathroom was equipped with a shower and a separate whirlpool tub. The tub is surrounded on 3 sides with full-wall mirrors, which made for a very romantic evening.

The room also had a private balcony over looking the hotel's courtyard and outdoor pool.

The room was clean and in good condition, and all the public areas were very nice. Indoor/outdoor pool was nice.

All of the staff was helpful and very polite.

The area is very nice too...easy access to MARTA, I-285, GA 400, Perimeter mall, and a variety of shopping and dining. It's in a well developed and safe part of Atlanta.

      I highly recommend this location.

Morning Front Desk Staff can be rude

      from

I just stayed at this hotel for a week in July for business. The hotel is quiet, I never heard a sound when I was in my room. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff is exceptional, with the exception of the morning front desk staff. They (connie) are rude and lazy and unwilling to lift a finger to help a guest. I was having an emergency and she did nothing to help me, didn't even ask HOW she could help. She also gave some of my co-workers a difficult time when they requested to have a print out of their bill, and another co-worker asked where he was on the list for the wireless computer plug-in cards. She was very rude and abrupt and lazy! The evening staff is exceptional and very friendly and helpful, along with the bartender. I recommend this hotel if you steer clear of the morning staff!

      Dirty Room!!!

      from

We checked into our room late at night, approx. 11pm. We are Hilton HHonors members and we were using our rewards for a free nights stay. The room, which was actually a suite (they all are at this hotel) anyway, the bedspead had what appeared to be blood on it, we did not discover that until the next morning! The shower was moldy and the door was dingy with soap scum. The carpet had stains all over, which could be easily cleaned, if the housekeeping staff did their job.

The breakfast area was cluttered and the tables sat dirty for a very long time before the staff cleaned them.

We complained to the manager and was told we would get a certificate for a free nights stay at that hotel to use if we were ever in the area. It's been a month now and NO certificate has arrived.

I would pass this place up if I were you. As with many, many Hilton Hotels these days, this one is run down and the service is poor. We are Marriott rewards members and they received the bulk of our hotel business for the 31 days we were in the US.

      Great for families

      from

Stayed at this property over July 1 - 5, 2004 in a "Family Suite." Would highly recommend this room type for families of 4 or more. Includes a sofa-sleeper, a Murphy bed which folds down from the wall and is big enough for two children, and a separate bedroom with a king bed. Large bath with separate shower and tub. Includes a small frig, sink, and coffee maker. The room also has a desk and two 25" TVs. Hotel provides a free shuttle within a three mile radius which includes the Perimeter Mall and MARTA station. Grocery store and pharmacy are a block away. Indoor and outdoor pools are connected. Excellent hotel for families and great location.

      Wonderful experience

      from

Friedly staff, beautiful landscaping, and pleasant interior design and decor. The rooms were nice and clean. Room service was prompt and friendly. The weekend rate was a bargain. I will stay here again, on my next visit to the Dunwoody area.

Today began a new adventure for me....I left Pensacola this morning and am currently at the Atlanta airport waiting for my flight to Washington DC. From DC I'll go to London, then after a 13 hr layover I'll head to Johannesburg and finally I take a small flight to Gaborone, my final destination. At the University of Botswana, I'll be studying public health with my classes focusing on the issues in Botswana and I'll also be taking a ...

After somewhat of a light meal, we drove to Natalie's friend Alyssa's house for a glass of wine and good conversation (where Natalie and Alyssa bedazzled their nails) before walking down the street to The Lawrence on Juniper. The Lawrence is a fantastic little cocktail bar with ...

In terms of things to see and do Atlanta seems rather heavy on pricey crowd-pleasers, some very corporate-oriented. I find factory tours around the country can often be quite interesting and are offered by companies that make ...

... but I just see that it entered the mainstream now. It's a trend. A good one! Things are changing, but there's still a crazy long way to go.

My dear friend Allyson picked me up in the airport of Atlanta. I am staying with her for about 2 weeks, with a break in the middle in which I will head to New Orleans, one of the big blanks on my travels through this country.
She brought me to the house where she's living now with Andres and their beautiful little baby boy Austin. They ...

At this point, nothing is out of the question and I’m lucky to have a family that fully trusts me to know how to take care of myself. And take care of myself is exactly what I did that day in Atlanta.

The Delta employee, Mer, met me at the boarding desk with a smile after my parents plane departed. She knew I wanted to fly to Grand Rapids instead of ...
