Sunday we drove to Buffalo, Wyoming to spend one night. The town of Buffalo was cute and western! We toured main street and visited a sports type store that had a variety of camping (tent), hiking and fishing gear along with clothing from babies to grownups for all types of weather! Very interesting. The remainder of the street had restaurants and bars and a few casinos. We did find the court house so there were laws! It was ...

Part of the site is on private land and there were horses grazing in open pastures. Several small herds were right next to the road and we got ...

... Glad to hear that all's well with him and the girls We arrived in Billings about 4.15pm. It looks to be an unexciting industrial city, but is the launching place for our visits to other areas tomorrow. It started to rain when we were about 1 hour out of Billings, but until now, we have had absolutely fantastic weather. In spite of the rain, it's still hot though. We're off to a western dinner tonight. (later) We've just ...

The route into Yellowstone on 212 is also world-heritage status: climbs 10,000 feet and very dramatic. The section into Yellowstone is "The Beartooth Highway ... an All-American Road that has been called "the most beautiful drive in America," by late CBS correspondent Charles Kuralt." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beartooth_ Highway
