... that the electric bilge pump was not working. This did prompt some immediate action with bailing and manual pumping and a lot of investigation after we had tied up in Peel marina. Sean and I managed to find and plug the leak and fix the bilge pump, so that was all good.

... that I have finished the book I have little to o so I am waiting at the station in one of the great halls for the train to arrive. I am guessing it's just a scuttle between Venice and Paris what a shame it's not the orient express don't know if the budget would stretch that far! I decided to pay the extra 15 euro and go first class as it guarantees yo a bed though you share a compartment with three others, poor buggers won't get much sleep if I get a couple of beers in on the train though ...

... a seat with a good view and not too far from the start finish line so the bikes got there mighty quickly. At first we were in the sun and it was quite pleasant as we waited for the first race however as the sun moved behind the trees it became quite cold and winterish. ... I was marshalling when Guy Martin pulled in for a cuppa! Connor had some sort of clutch problem that he couldn't fix,even with the help of spectator tools and advice so one of the marshals lent him his bike to get back to the pits on the back roads so he could get another bike we saw him out again after that We had another rider come in with fuel pump problems, he had also done a lap with one foot peg so his practice session was over . ... The motorcycling world is a small but largely friendly world.

And as the sun rose a week after that group of five arrived, they found themselves with bikes once again packed up, riding to the ferry. This time The Manannan, a much faster craft, offloading those tired people into Heysham for the ride home. More thought now going in to the meaning of the National Speed Limit sign but all arriving home that lunchtime tired and happy.
