After dinner at Clafouti we watched an episode of the new miniseries, “True Detective”. It was instantly incredible and engaging. Highly recommend it. After just the first episode! We were exhausted from all the relaxing and went to bed early.

Liam: We continued our trend of hunting down hotels with no prior booking and managed to negotiate a great price at Varkala Villas at the southern end of the cliffs. Varkala town itself is located further inland but the main touristy areas congregate along a 5km stretch along the cliff edges above an awesome white sand beach. The rice arrived but with no where to go, without hesitation mum snatched it from him and dumped it all onto another dish to the waiter's entertainment! 5 minutes later the plates are licked clean and we exchange sheepish looks between ourselves before bursting into fits of giggles!
