... is where Kyoto receives it water from. It is the largest freshwater lake in Japan. From there, we walked up and down a gravelly, rocky path. Most of us made it down intact although there were loose rocks and logs. I nearly fell on one of the logs.

We made it back to catch the train back to Kyoto. Tonight's dinner was included. It ...

I have left my love "China" and am heading back to the States. I was in China for thee years! I will miss is there. However I get to stop by and say hello to my good friends Megan and Nick. They used to live and work in China with me. It is so good to see them!
They live in Gifu (Guh - ee - Foo) city Japan. It is a beautiful place! I love it. ...

... as Hawaii and even the US! Once again it was a reminder of how much effort the Japanese dedicate to maintaining their historic landmarks...so cool.

Last but not least I tossed in a few photos from our tasty treats while in Gifu...we had the best ramen to date and tried black garlic for the first time. Here is the link to the local farm the chef gets his delivered from http://www.mino-seiwa.jp/, I think there is english somewhere ...

... up to Nagishima and went to the theme park there. Although it was cold it was the perfect time to go to the theme park as there was little to no lines for most of the rides :) After going on all of the exciting rollercoasters, some twice, we went and had bagels and walked around the shops before relaxing in another Onsen. The Onsen was massive and had multiple outdoor hot springs of varying temperatures and oils. Heaven to cold limbs.
