    ... but as one German lady pointed out, "rather McDonalds than the Nazis!" He's been showing the photos to many people, mainly in a quest for identification and they have all been so interested to see them, even the ones of the bombed out streets.     ... almost to the Rhine River. When we finally got back to the hotel, we had to quickly change into our concert uniforms before another amazing three course dinner. I had my first creme brle, which was delicious. Our concert was held only about 15 minutes from our hotel. Everything went really well, and we got a standing ovation from our lovely audience.     Basel was only about 2 hours away so we had a leisurely breakfast and morning and set off around 1pm planning to get to Basel around 3pm. We could probably have made it straight to Basel the night before but we know from experience the last few KM can take forever - which indeed they did again..... cue next blog page
