A long day of travel but I made it! Knoxville through Chicago to Newark. I waited about an hour for Claudia to arrive but then we scouted about the airport and shared a pizza for dinner. The restaurant had bubble lights which made us think of Carolyn building her house! Plane boarding and departure were on time and we were flying across the Atlantic. I slept a little though I do not do well sleeping on planes. About 9 hours later we arrived ...

... YEEUCH! The rain was so bad at times I couldn't see a thing and found myself peering around my screen looking for the white line on the side of the road just to see where we were headed. ... hot and humid for the competitors. The best way to watch the action from the 18th green is from the air conditioned hospitality tents. The top sponsors this year who had those available were the News-Sentinel, Copper Cellar, and Fleming's Steakhouse, where yours truly hung out with my old childhood friends Ken Canada and Chuck Cavalaris on Championship Sunday. Their food was stupendous, including shrimp, lobster, crab claws, and prime rib.

... during this trip and it too was very moving... especially the end of mass (more about that during the trip) and again I thought~ I AM coming back here and I AM hiking "the Way". I think Monsignor Al tired of all my questions~ lol~ but I'm thankful to He and Sister for planting the seed.

Now a few years have gone by.........the dream is still in my head...my friend Linda said she would like to go also... things were happening ...
