Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. Day 7: Leaving. Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge. $23.99 adult, $14.99 kid = $75 (after $2 off coupon). Overnight stay in Sleep Inn Sevierville.

Pigeon Forge is about a 20-30 mins from the entrance of the Smokies. But it took us over an hour to drive from the park to Pigeon Forge because it is bumper to bumper traffic. Worked out to do it on the way out. Stayed a night in Sevierville (2km from Wonderworks). ...

Day 1 on the road to Las Vegas

... drove a lot today. Logan did a 5 hour stint, the last 3 driving alone as I opted for the comfort of Eric's truck.

As soon as we were checked in, it was back on the road for a short trip to Cracker Barrel for dinner. We returned to the rooms with everyone full and ready to relax.

Another 500 mile day scheduled for tomorrow, so I am getting some sleep.

Life is good.
