      ... 1900. Downstairs we found an exhibition of model ships that were quite something. Ships were mainly sailing ships from years ago and varied in size from 30cm long to about four metres. A little boy's dream (and big boys). Needed some lunch after this and time to try to absorb all we had seen, quite overwhelming. Caught the tram to the northern section and walked the length of Brouwersgracht (Brewer's Canal). This is said to be the most beautiful of them all. ...

      Saturday we took the 15 minute train to Amsterdam Central and then caught a tram to the Van Gough Museum. This was my favorite art museum. It took 1 1/2 hours and it showed works of Van Gough and those that influenced his work. One could easily see Van Gough's progression through the years. ...

      ... must say at least it is confined to this area, it is totally regulated with the prostitutes required to register and pay taxed, with their jobs recognised as a profession! With regards to the weed around the place it's everywhere, I get high from just smelling it let alone trying a cookie! So won't be trying them..... The smell is incredibly sickening and not to my liking at all! Dinner was nice an asian/Dutch fusion style, not badly ...
