    ... vents on the helmet, and a spray would hit me in the face even though my visor was down. Almost as soon as the storm had started, it cleared and I rode the final half an hour under sunny skies. Strange. I arrived at the hostel and checked in.     ... Pis, a tiny little bronze statue of a naked boy peeing. There are chocolate versions of him everywhere and such a crowd gathered around the fountain he's on! They dress him up in different outfits too, but unfortunately he wasn't wearing anything today. I'm not sure how this tiny statue got to be such a big deal!     Today started with breakfast a a local cafe. It is not included at this hotel and is quite expensive there. We then walked down to Dam Square to meet our guide for our walking tour. As it turns out his name is Terry o'Leary, an Irishman who has been residing here for about 7 years with his Australian wife...     ... girl she was. He goes on to say that no parent truly knows how intelligent their children are until it's too late. This was so sad but I could tell that Otto Frank had come to terms with what had happened because he was left with the gift of his daughters thoughts. It was an amazing experience and one of the best museums I've been to.

    Woke up this morning to our first real rain. The weather forecast said 10% chance of rain. 6 hours later it was still raining. Checked out of our flat at 11 am and caught a taxi to our boat the Amadante. Official check in time on the boat was 3 pm but you can board anytime during the day.
