        ... had been taken and the gates to the hospital car park. We are 99% sure we have got the right building, but unfortunately the Italians do not want to talk about the war, so it makes it very difficult. After 5 hours of walking in the heat and the emotional toll, we arrived back at the B & B for a bottle of local vino and some research on tomorrow and next day.         This morning I decided to do what the Dutch do while in Amsterdam...hire a bike. Well ride a bike...they probably don't need to hire one...

        So I hired a bright orange bike to match my personality...i didn't have a choice so you know. I would have loved to get a black one.

        And then I rode out.

        I must point out that when i tried the bike, I actually ran into a bench...

        ... pool, and a sauna (where apparently swimsuits are not allowed - no thanks!) The wave pool was giant! Andy read somewhere that the wave pool in Hotel van Oranje is the largest indoor wave pool in Europe! It was super neat when it would get going, as it made some big ol' waves!         ... and for a mere 10 euro the taxi deposited us outside our seven week abode (turns out 3 euro on bus or tram would have done the same). Jens' boyfriend Leighton was to meet us with key, only problem was that we had no phone coverage, still a local shopkeeper was more than happy to help. Leighton came down with a big smile and a warm welcome, grabbing Angela’s' suitcase he proceeded to bound up the stairs, three flights of them!
