The sunshine hit my face. A second later, I opened my eyes. I got a great night of sleep last night. So glad that Sara and Mohini kept me up yesterday or else I would have not slept at all last night.

I microwaved frozen food for the first time since Christmas break. In Beijing, I would just pay a dollar for a sandwich from a street vendor before going to Chinese class. Mohini woke up and her roommate Caitlin was up too.

This morning we spent an hour or so walking on the Pacific Crest Trail where it crossed the road from Lake Tahoe. The trail was at 7200 ft and was quite easy to follow. We kept a sharp lookout for bears as we were all alone in the wild!

... to get some nice photos of the bay area and the bridge spanning the bay all in nice time however it took 3 hours to get to San Jose which should have been an hour drive, all due to peak hour traffic. When we arrived at Winchester Mystery House they let us delay our tour for 30 minutes so as we could get something to eat and drink first.
