    Left Gavin's around 10.30am. So hard to leave. Gas in Minden. Spent hours in Historic Virginia City. Wish I could post pics on this iPhone cause words don't do it justice. Found a Best Western in Fernley and stayed there a night Bought another gps from Walmart as the other one wasn't recognizing towns.     19 miles to a windy low pine campsite. (577.5)

    Today was our first day into the Southern tip of the Sierras. We are carrying 8 days of food and 2 days of water. We are supposed to hit a trickle of a spring tomorrow.
