In addition the fritters for the evening service are rolled and breaded (traditional standard breading procedures: flour, egg and bread crumbs). The cracker/biscuit for the canapé as well as the spread are made daily as is the amuse bouche which is normally a cold soup or savory wanna cotta of ...

... better. At breakfast we heard a few others were catching the bus to avoid walking on blistered feet. D8 seems to be the time when problems set in. Katrina with perfect feet of course has had no problems! The weather amazingly was fine once again! Overcast and cool for much of the time which was lovely for walking up hills. ... path had more climbs so we were not very happy. Eventually we left the reservoir and got our first taste of the beautiful countryside to come in the next stage of the walk. Goodbye Lakes. We arrived in the delightful village of Bampton Grange at 4.30. We were both surprised at how good we felt. The feet have not got any worse since Day 2 and seem to be coping well with the daily pounding. No new blisters or dressings for me...amazing! Katrina wanted me to point out she has not had any ...
