Another last minute and tasty breakfast but a bit less daunting than yesterday's and we were off to the bus stop. Traveled north to Grasmere where William Wordsworth lived. We strolled around the village, stopping for a cappuccino early on and lunch a bit later, both at the same spot - The Miller Howe ...

The edge was amazing and the descent took less than half the time to climb. The final stage was steep, easy but ******* the knees! A mug of tea, shower and a few beers before a Mags special Piri Piri chicken - awesome. Just got to decided on tomorrow's ...

After a long 4 hour drive from Holyhead we arrived in Ambleside of the Lake District to a dreary rainy afternoon. This is a very beautiful small town with many places to eat and many many outdoor stores to wet anyone's appetite when it comes to outdoor gear.

It's not overly a large community but it certainly has a very outdoorsy feel to it and a flare for the outdoors and no wonder, you are in the heart of the Lake District where walking, ...
