10am and we are off to Durham to see my dearest sister. It's a beautiful day to drive the 300 odd miles. I couldn't believe how many different sets are roadworks there are..with 40 & 50 mph limits its slowing us down! We saw two red kites over Oxford, and just after Doncaster there were six windmills. ... on our nose, and we were going wind against tide - even with the fairly small waves this meant occasionally coming down one wave and slamming into the next, almost juddering to a halt and sending spray flying over the deck.
