Homeward bound - for the interim

A travel blog entry by timenotwasted on Sep 19, 2015

... couple of stays. SO that's why we began thinking (as we were driving home) WHERE are we going next! Hope you have all enjoyed reading my first ever blog, as much as I have enjoyed writing and sharing our experiences with those who are special to us! We are home for the school hols, to spend time with Aron, Dane, Jaclyn and Lachlan, and deplete unnecessary stuff from the van and plan the next trip. Intriguing ...

After Kate drove us to Broadmeadow, we caught the 12.40 train to Central and onto the Domestic Terminal at Sydney Airport. Plenty of Virgins for Bob to gaze at while we waited. Smooth flight to Cairns, arriving 20 minutes early at 9.30pm. Met by Patrick who drove us to our hotel. It's 23 degrees and quite muggy. Cairns is in 'ironman' mode for the race tomorrow. I've included some shots of the 'scooters' at Wallsend last ...

We played with silly putty (no it wasn't confiscated as possible C4 explosives), ate some really disgusting vegetarian food (all I wanted was to make sure I got fruit and vegies and not meaty ...

A travel blog entry by misspollock on Jan 09, 2015

... so a greater chance on winning prizes to me. Hooray! Next it was nap time. I'm needing this if I want to kick on into the evening and still get up early the next day. Tonight was cruise elegant evening so I also needed to glam it up. Everyone looked lovely. It felt like something out of an old fashioned novel. I made sure to get my photo taken in many different places and backdrops with the ship's photographers, so I can hopefully choose just one or ...

... was hard to get a good picture!, we stopped for lunch there but I passed as the queue and wait for food was soo long! After lunch break we went to see the bores head which was just another rock formation, then we went to the small town of Leura which was a lovely little town with nice shops, we only had 30mins there which sucked! We stopped off at the Olympic stadium on the way to the ferry, when we got to the ferry dock there was a massive queue! Luckily as we was going to ...
