A travel blog entry by mmckinlay6 on Nov 11, 2014

The first day of my newest travel adventure, my first cruise. I wasn't overly excited, as I've got older I don't tend to get excited nearly as much as a kid does.

Next time I blog I'll be in NZ.

Yep, I'm feeling some strange mix of excitement, anticipation and dread.

... today we met Karen who farms at Taumaranui with her husband. They had lived in Taranaki before that for many years. It was a lovely sunny afternoon so we chilled out on our balcony. So peaceful enjoying the view of the sea as the ship cruised along at 19 knots. Sunset was beautiful – the classic half circle of orange on the horizon getting smaller until the sun slipped below it. Of course we didn’t have a camera set up, did we?
