... for sustenance later in the day, well not more food anyway!

After a stroll along the wide promenade overlooking the River Mersey and Liverpool we called in at The Magazine Hotel which is one of the oldest pubs on the Wirral with its building dating back to 1759. We then continued onto the more more modern shopping and dining area located on the seafront housing the likes of Morrison's, Home Bargains, La Tasca and Starbucks to name but a ...

The weather was dry but cloudy and the temperature was 5 degrees as we left Inverness on Sunday morning for our drive to Liverpool. We had the advantage of an extra hour of sleep because the United Kingsom went onto (or came off) daylight saving in the early hours of Sunday morning and we had to wind the clock back an hour. A couple of pregame beers, a new scarf and a ...

Ok, so I have just had my last supper with the family and have now finished packing. Had to swap bags as the original was to small. My bag weighs in at 13kg so I still am allowed another 10kgs in weight! Worried now that I've forgotten something but I don't think I have. Few last minute jobs to do tomorrow that the kids have given then heading for the airport at 15.30hrs. At last it here after all the hard ...

While we are in Wales and want to see as much of it as possible, the temptation to move back into England is strong! So off we go to Chester. Chester is a market town, known for its Tudor buildings. We were talking to the owner of the farm we are staying on and he said the places worth visiting were Bath, York, Shrewsbury and Chester. Well we have been to all the other places, and Chester is just down the road. We decide to do a park and ride which is quite common here ...
