... Euro's that also came with a glass of wine (I gave this to our roommate). The markets smelt amazing although the noise was crazy with us hardly able to hear each other even when standing right next to each other! Once we had all had something to eat we made our way to San Gines a Churro place recommend by our cousins, it took us awhile to find it but once we did it was worth it! The walls of the restaurant are covered in famous people that have eaten the churro's from movie ...

Day 4 London - Madrid

... First stop was Palaza Real Madrid, which is the royal palace. Now this place was amazing its actually the largest palace in Europe, and has approx 500 rooms. It was absolutely huge. The rooms were amazingly decorated and had so much detail in them. It's a shame that we were not allowed to take any photos. ... at one bar here in town for breakfast. The people who run it are relatives of Maria's, and they've been very nice to me since I've been here. I said goodbye to them (and got pictures!) this morning. There is also a bar next door to where we're staying where my roommates and I sometimes go at night. We're going to head down there for a few minutes for one last drink.

... until spring.

Back to the hotel and tomorrow, back to reality.

I was not sure that Spain was on my bucket list, but I'm so glad we came. It's a wonderful country with beautiful and diverse cities. The food is incredible, I love the whole Tapas thing.

I had thought that I would want to do a month in Paris after I retire. I could see Madrid instead - fun, exciting and so alive!

... to plead our case to the ticket desk on how we should get some sort of credit for our ticket, since we were technically there in time, but they didn’t let us check-in. That didn’t end up working so we pulled the trigger on tickets for the next morning for a 7:00am flight.
