We get back on the train and we're offered Speights beer which is brewed in Dunedin or soft drink. The beer is excellent. Not long after this we are given a picnic lunch which consisted of a potato salad, a big pinwheel sandwich with a lovely filling, a quiche, a 2inch square of banana cake and some grapes. She asked if anyone had epilepsy or panic attacks when we first arrived at the cemetery so I was certain that we were going to be victims of a prank. John and I were up early, ready and waiting for our excursion to begin just after 8.00am. We had already phoned Susie to sing Happy Birthday and to hear about all she'd been doing that day.

So our number was called and about 20 of us climbed aboard a coach and set off.
