We arrived at Port Chalmers (Dunedin) at 7am just as we started our stretch and abs class so we watched the ships progress as we stretched. At first I thought Port Chalmers was just going to be an ugly little port but what a delightful little town it was! It was another early morning as we had booked a jet boat experience and went with the "early bird special" which saved us around $50 combined. So it was off for the 10min walk to catch the shuttle to the Shotover Jet. It was a sunny 4 degree morning at the time of our ride! ... t beat that with a stick. There was a big accident on the way there so it took us 1hr 15 min to get there and they dropped us off a couple of blocks from the pier. We grabbed something to eat at a food truck and then walked down to the end of the pier and back. I never realized that Route 66 ended at the Santa Monica Pier.
