Haferflocken-Schokomilch-Frühstü ck gings ab Richtung Dawson Creek, auf der Fahrt durften wir Elche, Koyoten und Schwarzbären am Straßenrand beobachten. Dort gings dann abends auf den Alaska Highway Richtung Whitehorse. Weit kamen wir aber nicht, der Schneesturm zwang uns und unseren Van alias Heidi Hastings in die Knie und wir schlugen in einer Parkbucht ...

Not long after we started off the next morning we were lucky to spy a timber wolf by the edge of some farmland! Unfortunately we couldn’t stop as there was a semitrailer bearing down on us from behind but we were pretty excited to have seen it.

We had a scheduled tour on the fully refurbished SS Klondike sternwheeler and following that, we drove through downtown and went to the visitors center where we were shown a 15-minute film about the Yukon. Yukoners say that if you take a sip of the water, you will never leave.

... A few minutes ago, I ran into the couple that did the “mosquito dance” with us at Mezidian – Randy & Joanne. They were heading into town to see the sights. Hopefully, we’ll visit with them again before we leave.
