Baja California: An alternative Thanksgiving.
My brother and I are driving there tomorrow. Yes, MEXICO. I obviously can't go longer than a few month without leaving the country. It's a road trip. Road trips are my absolute favorite kind of trips! Driving, camping and beachin'. I won't have internet, so I'll have to update when I'm back in Salt Lake next week.
... along with last night, which was 100% free thanks to the late "Best Rate Guarantee" deal (may it rest in peace). Over the past 2.5 years, we have stayed in many hotel rooms for free across the country. Alas, Wyndham has changed their Best Rate Guarantee (known affectionately as BRG) policy so that it doesn't include free rooms, and this is the last room we had booked under the BRG deal. It's the end of an era, and boy, did we have a good run.
... the faster way meant that there were higher speed limits and there were more opportunities to cut time off our trip. Turns out we were right.
Even though Steamboat was super fun and I got to see Boo for the first time since July, I was still psyched to get to Salt Lake because I had plans to visit with two friends from high school (eep). CC and LM moved out to Park City in early Sept to spend a season livin' the dream. Not only are they two of my favorite people from GA (where we ...

The next morning when i asked why she didn't let me take that spot (as i had half-heartedly offered to take it) she said she didn't trust me to keep the blankets from falling to the floor leaving us both to freeze to death, then I remembered that all night she fought that heap of blankets. I would have surely froze us.

Nothing exciting, no longer tourists, just Intersate travelers. Crossed great salt flats, home of the Bonneville Speed . Stopped at Salt Lake City H-D for dots, clothes and a wind breaker. I have lots of excess wind from under the windshield, hope it helps. Sleeping early, need to make Nebraska tomorrow. May not post tomorrow as pictures get boring. Bye.
Evanston, Wyoming, United States 7x70on66... with our neighbors (Jane, Marie, and Trudy) downstairs. As she was packing back in her own dorm, her heart started racing. Then something grabbed her ankle as she sat on the bed. She screamed and ran away! Ooooo! I slept on the flight to Paris, though flying into CDG airport I did, finally, get to see the Eiffel Tower. It was a heck of a lot larger than I thought it would be - much larger than the Eiffel Towers in Las Vegas or ...
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States dgookinI have returned to the Motherland once again for a short jaunt and some fresh air. This weeks adventure mainly consist of minor intoxication followed by physical exercise that then justifies overeating and more intoxication, sleep, then repeat. Today's adventure was in Big Cottonwood Canyon with Nathan. I rented some snowshoes and we headed up Guardsman Pass so we could have a nice view when we arrived atop the ...

When I got up later that day I headed back to Wal-Mart, stocked up on things we needed to make the house a home instead of a bachelor pad and took some pictures around town. Since then all has been peaceful. Will has caught up on his sleep. Flash is back to his old, goofy self. As for me, I'm unpacking, setting up the house and cooking...yes, believe it, I'm cooking!! As they say, all's well that ends well don't ya know!!
