Tonight we are listening to the world famous St Thomas' Boys Choir singing in St Thomas' church where Bach used to be the choirmaster. Yesterday we finally got to Chris' "must see" for the trip, Colditz Castle. It was exactly as we'd seen it in all those old movies, except now it has been painted white. The Germans had ...

We stayed in bed until 6:30 hoping the rain would ease, then packed up 3 of the panniers in the tent and had breakfast. By this time the rain had reduced to light sprinkles so we moved the last pannier and the rack pack that had all the daily stuff to a nearby shelter that had a table and made our flask of hot water ready ...

... Nikolaikirche (St. Nicholas Church), which I visited next, was built in the 12th century, and was initially built in a Romanesque style, but when it was extended in the 16th century it was built in a more Gothic style. The church also has a very beautiful romantic stile of organ. It was initially used as a Catholic Church, but the church became a Protestant Church in 1539 after the Reformation, although the Catholic Church is also allowed to use ...
