Trains from 9am-5pm to get to the other side of Germany. Loooong trip via Frankfurt and Cologne, but it was very interesting to see the countryside. It was Beautiful through the Rhine Valley. ... we found that the next train was an hour away, and we were a bit concerned we might not be able to get back to our hotel tonight. So we walked back to the hotel and joined G&G for dinner in the hotel restaurant. A very traditional German restaurant and I was extremely pleased to see potato dumplings on the menu. ... apartment, I went to the Saturn store (similar to Best Buy) in the Hauptbahnhof to look at travel alarm clocks. It turns out that the one that the alarm on the one that I purchased in Bautzen isn’t very loud and I slept through it on one occasion. With a couple of important events coming in the next week or so, I need to make sure that I wake up on time. I found one, tested the alarm and purchased it, although it was a bit larger than I desired.
