... ice which was actually shaved ice infused with milk so it was kind of like icecream..it was great! The next day we hired two taxis to drive us to our next destination..Kenting town which was about 2 hours away! It was paradise! We drove along the coast and ended up in a cute, cheesy little area full of cute hotels, Thai restaurants, literally more than 20 of the same flip flop shops, and laid back, super kind people, most of who spoke pretty good English! This place is right at the southern most tip of Taiwan. There is a touristy destination nearby called Kenting, but we decided to come here instead because this was described as a great place to surf. What a marathon effort to get here. Like I said, I love Kenting and if you go to Taiwan you have to go and visit because it is so much fun and the scenery is so beautiful! Can't wait to come back to Taiwan and chill out on Nanwan beach again!

It reminded us very much of northern NSW and the Gold Coast (and even Hawaii) with many banana, pineapple and mango plantations about. The beach (though not white sanded) was also very much ...

Today Sam drove us down to Kenting National Park in the south of Taiwan. On the way we stopped at Wu Pao Chun Bakery, a famous place where we were treated to tasty bagels and chocolate croissants.
