... with huge mountains lining the coast. On the other side the mountains continue on to the Cape of Good Hope. To either side you can look down and see the beach suburbs and the crashing waves. ... there are either orphaned, abandoned, or from abusive homes. Those orphaned and abandoned tend to stay there until they are in their mid-late teens, whereas they work with the abusive parents to make them better and get their children back. One building we went into was for children under five years old. ~40 kids stayed there. We went in and there were children running everywhere! It was nuts to say the least. So onto the rest of our time in Cape Town...which seems a lifetime ago now but I'll try and do my best to remember. The first event worth mentioning was taking the kids to the beach in our first week of being at the orphanage. ... I tried to take the cable car up Table Mountain, but it was so windy that it was closed. So our taxi driver took us to this nice view point and we got some nice pictures. Then we went to this street called Long Street that had a bunch of cool vintage stores and a marketplace. We pretty much just shopped all day.
