the new time change we went to bed at 9pm and awoke at 5am so the day
got started a little bit earlier.
the road we went with the hopes of making it to Bemidji Minn. but
fell a little short and had to stop in Warba about 80 miles east.
The pounding of the highway was a little too much. This was the
longest day of our trip so far. As we ventured west the weather
... two cabins on this estate, we stayed in the more modest cabin which was made up of a living and kitchen space and a small bedroom. The main cabin was just across the lawn and looked fairly sizeable from the outside. Once inside it opened up even more with beautiful open plan rooms, large fireplaces and a games room in the basement. You soon realise how much more space they have over here to build on! Many beers later it was time for me to conquer my fear of boats. I don't know why ...
Up early today and across the northern portion of Wisconsin to meet friends in Proctor, MN (just outside of Duluth). Nice views of Lake Superior this morning and a wonderful lunch visiting with Dave, Lin, Clancy, and Gwen. ... You're doing it wrong!!! With plenty of get-up-and-go still left, we took the inside lane and left him in our dust. Literally. The car is dirty.

In other car news, the shotgun blast that was heard every time I open the car door has dissipated. Instead, the door seems to be working some sort of jaws-of-life operation. I'm actively not thinking about this issue.
... you have ever been through this area or even Saskatchewan, you will appreciate that there is not much to see, but you can see forever...and you can see storms coming at you for miles and miles... Ron found an amazing restaurant called the Bistro and we had a great supper...what a great find! He enjoyed a pepper steak and I had Pickerel, which they call Walleye here...and we got to use real knives and forks... Nice end to a really tiring long ...
