The 143rd moved depleted uranium from Tooele to California for disposal some 10 years ago, so I knew the base had a lot of bad stuff to protect, It is a good thing the base has tight security. ... to operate as a tourist attraction, visitors can try out different activities, like bobsledding (the sleds are driven by a trained driver), rope courses, an alpine slide (sort of like a slow bobsled), and ziplines. Granny and Cori volunteered to hold loose items and take pictures of the rest of us. Cole went down the alpine slide and rode down a zipline. ... our hotel tonight at about 8pm so it was kinda too late to go see anything, but tomorrow on the way out, we do plan on stopping by the big Mormon temple. AND, I plan on going swimming in Salt Lake. It's kinda chilly here, but being afeared of a little cold water is for feerdy cats. Hell yes. Besides, if worse comes to worse, I'll float.
