We arrived in Antelope Island at 8.30am with a stunning lake view, Salt Lake. It is desert land with incredibly hot temperatures and no antelope in sight. After a quick change into shorts and T-shirts we were ready to enjoy breakfast. After breakfast we decided to take a walk across the sand towards the water where we were greeted by hundreds of sand flies. ... almost the only ones in the place. After lunch we walked back to the Temple Square area and went to the Church History Museum. It was very interesting. Neither Brian or I were very familiar with the LDS beginnings and history. I will say that all the volunteers are extremely welcoming and friendly. We talked to one gentleman there for quite awhile.
