We didn't do a lot today. We talked to family back home in the morning. In the afternoon, we drove out to the Great Salt Lake. You may think it’s just another lake, but it’s not. ... was to cook chicken sausages on the grill, but after a glass of wine and some scotch, Caitlin suggested we go out for pizza at Vintos. And it didn’t take much convincing for uncle Jim, and we were off. We grabbed a seat ordered a couple beers and a glass of wine for me, and some really good pizza. It was a great place to eat, drink and be merry. Some good food and great company was a wonderful way to spend our last night in Park City!

A monument there marks the approximate location where the Mormon pioneers first entered the Salt Lake Valley after a 1,300-mile trek from Illinois in 1847.
