Around the eighth century the Song Dynasty got a bit spanked up in the north and so relocated their capital down to the warm south in the city of Hangzhou. Why was this great? Because they built the huge West Lake on the side of the city and it has been improved and beautified ever since. Our final day in 'mainland China'. A slower pace today. We started with a guided tour of the Wensli Silk Company who also own Mark Rozier (Paris fashion icon). The tour was mostly about the history of silk in China as well as the different uses. The Vaughan's thought we were seeing a factory floor in action but this turned out not to be the case.
