... you have to walk for a while looking like your depressed staring at the ground. Once on the main island the first thing on the agenda was food. It was already 2 so we were all pretty hungry. We found a brilliant place that did an all you can eat menu which included everything I could of possibly wanted. They also did literally the best jam I've ever tasted which was amazing on my toasted bagel. We had a feast of pancakes, muffins, granola, salad, pasta, pastries, fresh fruit, ...

... and windsurfing. My Filipino nurses in Miami recommended the place and they were right. It's a whole different feel than El Nido. But its very developed and crowded. Sunsets were just amazing.

... street behind the famous long strip of white sand beach, it was the California highway 101 basically . Our guesthouse was tucked back through a small alleyway in station 3, on white sand beach. The beach is so long here, one of the longest, most accessible beaches in the word , stretching 3 miles in length, that they split it in stations, 1-3. Station 3 was know to be the least developed. More of the backpacker side, quieter, cheaper, and more of how it used to be... ...

... some bbq meat if you want to make a friend...looks like he usually just gets rice.

The beach is long, white sand, turquoise water etc definitely one of the best we visited if not just for the fact it was very clean and food/shops/places to stay were just a few metres away. The South end was blissfully quiet too, nice place to swim at night and hunt for luminous fish/squid.

... have finished by the time I get back there next week as I want to have a proper look around Intramuros, particularly Fort Santiago. I just read in one of my news apps that Monday and Tuesday saw 12 inches of rain fall in Manila - the heaviest in three years - and 60 people killed in the flooding. Made me realise how petty my concerns about he weather were.
