This time it was to Belgium's second largest city and biggest port, Antwerp. When I think of this city I immediately think of diamonds….so I definitely won’t be doing any of that type of shopping!! Antwerp also has a very rich art & fashion culture.

... goodbye to would be going out for dinner later that evening. I do regret not seeing the Turkish intern one last time, because we never had a chance to really, truly say goodbye. Maybe it’s better that way.

As I surrendered my residency permit and my security badge, I felt a sense of loss. I was no longer the intern at Bureaucracy – now I was an ordinary Canadian traveller with no job. It started raining as I rode the tram home ...
