... had been for John to visit the MAS museum 10 stories high with 3 big museums within the building. First he had to tackle one or two jobs on board main one cleaning the blocked shower pump out box. It is a very smelly job!

... walked into the main square. It really is as stunning as they say (apparently the world's most beautiful square). Shame there was something on so they had erected tents all over the place, so our photos do not do it justice I'm afraid. We wandered on to find the pub with the largest selection of beers in the world!! Yip, they even had a certificate to prove it! It was a huge place, which we visited twice in our short time in Brussels. ...

... village and allowed a waiter to coax us in. We had a three course meal consisting of breaded cheese, mussels with chips, Belgian waffle and a drink all for €12 each! The budget is going well :-) This afternoon we picked up some postcards, macaroons and chocolates in the shape of the mannequin pis! We're set for a quieter evening where we will cook at the hostel, plan our route to Amsterdam tomorrow and play cards ...

... br> Once we had unpacked our stuff we strolled to what is known as 'Grand Place' which is a square surrounded by old buildings which are now pubs and eateries. On entering Grand Place Mark and I immediately bought and ate a chocolate covered waffle each. The waffles here are delicious!! When I went to the bridge this afternoon and looked at the current chart, there on the right hand side was good old Great Britain and Eire. The course line drawn on the chart that leads towards the English Channel ends in the area of the Bishop Rock, from which way-point they move to the next chart for the English Channel proper.
