... Range in Wyoming for a several night hike. We hope to have cell phone service and enough battery life to get a few blog posts up during these trips.
P.S. I posted 2 videos below. Be sure to check them out and let me know if they play. We stopped at a gas station on the way to the boundary waters and had a Pastie for lunch. (see photo below). There were tons of signs for Pasties! throughout the Upper Pennisula so we decided to try one. They were delicious!
... a wonderful morning. It was a foggy day, with lots of moisture in the air, at times hard to tell if it was spray from the falls or drizzle from the sky. In the end, love the way the falls show through the mist in the photos.
A critical component of the road trip is the music that permeates every driving moment. And sometimes those moments when you're parked but have to finish the song even though it's on a CD and you've heard it 6,000 times. If you close your eyes and imagine a car riding through space on a path of musical staff and notes, that's pretty much how my road trip works.

So what to do on a rainy foggy afternoon in Grand Marais? I present to you in the following photo essay:

... a bit further south to Temperance River State Park and walked part of the trail down past the waterfall to the rocky shore line of Lake Superior. We drove back to Grand Marais and enjoyed a beer on a roof top terrace listening to a local musician playing his country music.
All too soon it was time to hit the road back to Thunder Bay after a great day out in the warm September sunshine.
