    It is 5:38 pm Italy time... how do I know this???... because our plane has actually landed in Italy. It's a miracle!!! The drive from our hotel is 40 minutes. Along the way I am struck by the beautiful flowering bushes, crazy fast driving and the graffiti. Once we hit about 30 minutes into the drive you start to see the tops of the famous Italian buildings and the quaint shops. The city really bustles to life with everyone vying for parking ...

    ... places close surprisingly early. Then dinner time in France is a little later around 8-9pm.
    We went to McDonald's and got coffee and soft drinks. The McDonald's did not offer soft drink refills, this was fine just a tad odd.     ... just as we pulled up. She spoke to the driver and I only heard "Englisher" and became even more surprised. Then I spoke to her and said "Gutentag". She asked if we were the people who had rung this morning from the boat. She had been waiting for us!!!!! Her name was Sister Emmanuella and she was truly living the Benedictine value of hospitality.
