    After a nicely-catered flight on Singapore Airlines (endless food and drinks served in a first class fashion!), we woke up (John slept little to not at all, Sally and Jill not much more!) flying over Ireland around 8:00 in the morning (1 AM central time).     ... not really a race, more an exhibition) owned by a friend of his. There was a big festival in Dieburg and we ate brockwurst sandwiches and some pastries. The winner of this race from the 40s was here (he is 87) along with other "older" drivers. Interesting day and we learned what it is like to live in a small German town where you know everyone.

    ... Turkish carpets are hand made. . Day 6 is another day at Sea. The ports of Athens and Izmir have given us hot sunny weather, so the pools and decks have been very busy, but our travel day today is back to overcast and cool. Day 7 we arrive in Split Croatia.
