... horrific ones too. There is an English theatre, it's closed at the moment but outside is a cupboard with novels in and on it a sign saying that they are free to take. They are all in English and make an effort to entice others to read and learn our language. Imagine a Polish theatre in London that did that. How would that go down. I see a bus saying Frankfurt ...

    ... compact.

In the evening, we crossed the river to Sachsenhausen to have dinner at a traditional and locally famous cider tavern (Fichte Kranzi). Started with the Handkase mit Musik, Brot und Butter which is two slices of bread and butter with another plate containing a large slice of hand cheese covered in finely chopped raw onions and vinegar. (According to the waiter, "The Musik" is due to arrive tomorrow morning....) For main, we shared a Frankfurter Schnitzel mit ...

... of awkward, groan-inducing catch phrases based on weak associations (with full stops between each) plastered everywhere. The title of this post is one and should give you an idea. Here's another: Boarding. Dining. Beijing. Milla can't stop herself from repeating them and laughing. They are that lame.

On a positive note, both kids were excellent travelers. Very considerate of other passengers, pleasant, and well mannered although so ...
