... Then we walked on the famous Las Ramblas. We walked all the way to the waterfront and on the boardwalk. Our afternoon plan was to go to the Picasso museum. But the line was so long that we gave up. So we went to see a Catholic Church and that didn't work out well either. It was closed. So we opted for a glass of sangria. Lets see what tonight ...

... Amazing Italian singing coming through the doors as I enter. There's a couple of big tables set which later fill with Christmas revellers.the restaurant came alive the longer I stayed there. When I was eating my entrée of garlic prawns that were divine, a charming Spaniard came in and started chatting to me. Had no clue what he was saying. A lady at the bar who I chatted to when I first came in and helped me get the waiters to ...

... like there had been a big party but had not been cleaned up yet, it all looked fairly fresh (I have since discovered the cleaners are on strike). ... for cultural and sporting activities e.g. the Olympic stadium, the Joan Miro Foundation. Down the other side of the park leads to views across the busy port. Then we hit the city and what a city! Along the narrow streets buildings were all lovely, ornate, balconied structures, each with something different from the ones beside it. Then there were the even more narrow pedestrian paths bustling ...

... I had to sweet talk another bouncer into letting me go in anyways, & wait in the bar to see if Peter would get in, too, which thankfully he did.

The next morning was extremely interesting, because our Ave was leaving at 8:00 AM. Thank the Lord we made the train! I felt so bad though because Holly fell back asleep after we left & ended up missing her flight back to Cardiff, but she worked it out later that night.

It was definitely a trip to remember!!
