... back to the hotel's rooftop pool and bar for an afternoon relaxing! Today's destination for such touring was Mont Blanc, which was just a short walk from our hotel. From the rooftop bar it looked worth a visit (it must've been something because that rooftop bar was hard to leave), with a temple looking thing, gondola ride, and a big tower all visible and calling to be explored. Plus I reckoned that on the other side of that hill we'd get a fairly good glimpse of ...

... 12:30am up La Rambla (the beautiful boulevard ) which at this stage was teeming with people, a group of women ran up to Bruce and Andrew and started hugging them etc.! Andrew had his hand firmly on his wallet in his pocket but sadly not on his phone. As soon as we got home he realised his phone was missing. Because of its size he has always found it difficult to get out of his pocket - not these women!!!! It put a real dampener on the evening. Plenty to do tomorrow to sort that ...

... Amazing Italian singing coming through the doors as I enter. There's a couple of big tables set which later fill with Christmas revellers.the restaurant came alive the longer I stayed there. When I was eating my entrée of garlic prawns that were divine, a charming Spaniard came in and started chatting to me. Had no clue what he was saying. A lady at the bar who I chatted to when I first came in and helped me get the waiters to ...

Happy Halloween!
We found out about a free walking tour (New Barcelona) with the meeting spot, Placa de l'Angel, only about a 10 minute walk from our apartment. It was a warm, sunny day. Helen our guide from Scotland was GREAT. She was a hoot. Helen incorporated every distraction (street cleaners, honking motorists, loud school children, etc.) into her talk and it became part of the tour. We saw sights that we would never have dreamed of visiting.
