Our tour included an archeological dig in the Jewish quarter with remains dating back ...

... Studienkompaktkurs" (student compact course) with all the other Fremdsprachenassistenten (foreign language assistants) in the local area to me. These were not only English assistants, but also those teaching French, Spanish, Italian, Russian etc, from all over the world! It was a fantastic chance not only to meet the people who live near me, but also to meet people from many other countries and find out more about their culture. Monday was an introduction ...

We landed in Dusseldorf after a long flight! It's exciting to be in a new place but also a little unsettling. I'm very happy that Pat is fluent in German or we might still be stuck at the airport looking for the train station. I already feel ...
