Monday, July 6, 2015. PCT day 78 miles 1189.2-1198 Today is a nero day. I slept in until 06:30 and left camp by 0730. The trail was all downhill, 8.5 miles into Sierra City, which is at 4200 feet elevation. It definitely felt warmer/hotter down here. I arrived here by 11:30ish. The small town is only about a mile from the trail. I set up camp by the local church. I had my cold shower ...

The trail was less crowded today and I was happy about that. The July 4th crowd vanished or was perhaps hung over. Not many PCTers either. Friday, June 3, 2015. PCT day 75. Miles 1115-1140 Today was a 25 miles day and I am feeling it. I don't know why I am more tired than usual now after a 25 miles day. I've done long days like this before. Hmm. Where I camped last night was infested with mosquitos. God I hate them. The worst is when you are taking a dump and they bite you all in the ass and thighs. Can't even **** in peace. Then your but cheeks and thighs itch all day. Myself and another hiker ...

... huge portions of the free hot breakfast. MC Hobo and his wife (I can't remember her name), dropped me off at the trail and Echo Lake at 0930. We said our goodbyes. I hope I see MC Hobo again. He is a nice old fella, very down to earth and humble. Heading out, my intent was to do 20 miles. My bag was heavier with food than expected. I had more food than I needed for this 5 day stretch to Sierra City. The reason for this fact is that Jonathan Spoon sent me a ...

... buy new trail shoes and some more gear. By 8pm we finally got back and booked into our hostel. The hostel is run by a couple of hippies our age who have spent the last 6 months renovatig an abandoned hotel. It was a really cool place amd we spent the next couple of days hanging out with the owners (Eli and Wolfie) and a few others. Just as we were about to head up to our beds, Wolfie called out to us "by the way, your sharing a room with a ...
