... did my laundry here. I resupply here. I reacquainted with other hikers I know that I haven't seen for a while. They said that i look like i lost more weight. I feel that i have ever since I started doing 20-25 mile days again. My skinny pants are fitting me loose. Oh well. I will spend the night here and head out tomorrow morning as early as possible. Can't even **** in peace. Then your but cheeks and thighs itch all day. Myself and another hiker ...

... other lakes. I love lakes and love how the Sierra is full of them. The dark thunderclouds that were building throughout the day, conglomerated enough to begin pouring rain and unleash some thunder. I hiked with Wallaby (an older Australian fella in his 60/70s) for a while. But I left him unwittingly in the steep climb over Dick's Pass. Once over Dick's Pass, it is mostly downhill past some lakes and into a dark forest where I finally found a campsite near Phipps ...

... buy new trail shoes and some more gear. By 8pm we finally got back and booked into our hostel. The hostel is run by a couple of hippies our age who have spent the last 6 months renovatig an abandoned hotel. It was a really cool place amd we spent the next couple of days hanging out with the owners (Eli and Wolfie) and a few others. Just as we were about to head up to our beds, Wolfie called out to us "by the way, your sharing a room with a ...
