... Cove Tennessee with Randy and Sherry. (Additional Blog with pictures will come soon.) The pictures with this entry were taken on the way up and while here.
Spent Thanksgiving here. On Thanksgiving day we ate a buffet at Western Sizzler with 18 workers etc. from the campground, then on saturday the campground provided turkeys and everyone brought covered dishes and we all ate at the clubhouse.
... it. What a pain in the butt... There were no anchors or boulders to attached to and the trees were strategically place in stupid spots... It took us maybe 20 mins to set it up in a way that would work.
Finally we got to climb! It felt so great to touch real rock again... Since I moved to Flatt butt SC I haven't gotten much climbing in. The gym where I live isn't exactly ideal either. So this was a super happy moment for me :) Everyone else hopped on the route too ...
... where we were only 5 min before closing, we managed to try 2 whites and bought one. Then back to the back deck at Lucilles for a drink and then to Nachochee Grill for burgers...nice place, nice people and yummy burgers. Then dessert at Lucilles of a very yummy chocolate. Cake with Strawberry Jam and Choc. Ganache.....I've gone to heaven. A chat with Erik and now to bed. Tomorrow we are off to N ...
... Carolinas. The mts are all treed and would be stunning in a few weeks when the fall colors are around. Then back on theByway...very twisty but very pretty...then through Cleveland to Dalhonega. It's an old gold mining town and now is the site of the Univ.of N. Georgia which I think is affiliated with one of the churches?? Perhaps Baptist or Presbyterian. We finally found a Starbucks for a latte as the other 2 coffee shops were closed on Yuesdays as were most of ...
... local French bistro. We had fresh trout with potatoes and asparagus. The fish was. Rey nice but there were only 2 small quarter potatoes and 4 skinny asparagus for 28.00 ...so not the best valued meal. But when we returned to Lucilles there was yummy chocolate cake and oatmeal raisin cookies and quite good Keurige coffee. Tomorrow we will follow a drive to Brasstown Bald past more waterfall and then explore the local pottery/art galleries and vineyards.so nighty night ...
