It was an amazing experience to see a city function on water with buses, police, ambulances, transport and garbage collection all done in boats of all shapes and sizes.       ... There were so many people lined up it was very neat! We spent so much time swooning over the costumes, they were so extravagant. If I ever go back I'm definitely going all out!! Now that we had been in the Rialto and San Marco areas we headed towards Academia which is a museum across the grand canal that has a nice neighborhood surrounding it.
