So much has happened since the last entry but it is true that Rose wine has been a part of much of it. From Meyreuis we drove back through the park and then down to Arles. Dense fog and rain made the drive pretty tense till we began our descent. Great working hill towns with absolutely no tourist information or accomodation but a ton of atmosphere. I loved this area with terraced fields and quiet way of life. Arles was a great destination for the day. The hotel we found was right in the old c...

ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.
Monaco, Monaco tilman... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city IŽd love to visit once a year minimum.....
Nice, Provence, France tilman... upon me it feels very strange and somewhat daunting. But to my knowledge no one has ever died from teaching children so I am sure I will survive.... My Amazon book order should arrive soon to inspire me. I am really looking forward to discovering the 100 things you can do with a paper plate. Life is never going to be the same!!
More when I start travelling...
... messy or smelly with is good since it's my job to clean Theo out. I have coined the phrase "Feeding Theo" as a euphemism for going to the loo which Kim thinks is gross!! But I'm sure she'll be using the term in no time ;-) Gas... not bad flatulence We filled up our two 4.5kg gas bottles before we left London. The rest of Europe do not use UK calor gas bottles so at some stage we will have to buy a EU standard gas bottle - the only standard bottle is Campingaz which is ...
Les Arcs sur Argens, Provence, France darrenhough74... the Contiki group in a local restaurant, followed by some drinking games in a pub! All good fun really. As it was getting quite late (and I need my beauty sleep) I went to bed, whilst Mark took a trip to another casino. He didn't get in until about 3.30am all drunk! He swears he got lost on the way home for an hour but I reckon he was just enjoying himself too much to sleep. He was a bit rough on the journey the following day!
Nice, Provence, France markandnoma2009... the whole area was closed, with no eateries open. When we had exited the train station, we were supposed to go right and unfortunately we went left, and ended up doing a giant circle that lasted almost 2 hours, taking us past a football ground and also through the giant harbour. So when we arrived at the market/town area, and all was closed we now had a search on our hands to locate somewhere open to eat, since we were very hungry by now and the hulk was rearing in both of us!

... of tour groups sharing this tiny town with us - they came from the cruise ships. Although Eze was nice, it did not have the same charm as Mougins and I think this is mostly because of the multiple tour groups coming through. I can't imagine how crowded it gets in the summer months!
Eze, France jc_haroon... getting caught without a ticket. I made it to the station without any problems. I took the same train yesterday to Monaco and I still had my old ticket. I wonder if they would notice the date...I went for it. Showed the ticket to the conductor, and hopped on board. All Aboard!! I met 3 girls the night before at the bus stop. They were from California and studying in Florence. They happened to be on that same train. I told them I would be in ...
Eze, France jaredtenOn our drive through the blue coast we made our first stop in the small town of Eze to visit the Fragonard Perfumerie up on a hill top. That was a really fun little place to visit. We toured the perfumerie and saw "the nose" who inspects the fragrances. It ...
